Zelensky Was Not Informed About Energy Ceasefire Announcement by Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was not informed in advance about Donald Trump's announcement of an energy ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported on October 11, 2026.

Zelensky later stated in an interview with ABC News that Ukraine is prepared to agree to such an arrangement, but only if Russia also ceases its strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. He emphasized that the ceasefire must be reciprocal and verifiable.
