Border Incident on Ukraine-Moldova Line: Guard Patrol Ends Up on Moldovan Shore
A Ukrainian border patrol in Vinnytsia region attempted to detain an illegal crosser swimming across the Dnister River toward Moldova, but the boat was swept to the Moldovan shore after the engine failed. A group of people on the Moldovan side threatened the guards and pulled the boat ashore. Moldovan border guards arrived; an internal investigation is underway.
