Zelensky Appoints Humeniuk as New Commander of Ukraine's Military Medical Forces
President Zelensky signed a decree appointing Colonel Kostiantyn Humeniuk as the new commander of the Medical Forces of Ukraine's Armed Forces, replacing Anatoliy Kazmirchuk. Humeniuk is an Honored Doctor of Ukraine who performed the first laparoscopic kidney surgery in a field hospital near Bakhmut in 2022.
