Vatican Confirms Pope Leo XIV Underwent Lung Cancer Surgery; Recovering
The Vatican confirmed that Pope Leo XIV underwent surgery for lung cancer, during which part of his lung was removed. The pontiff disclosed the procedure to thousands gathered in St. Peter’s Square and is said to be recovering well.
