Carpathian Summit Nations Pledge Annual Meetings and Regional Cooperation

At the conclusion of the first Carpathian Summit, heads of state, governments, and representatives of Ukraine, Austria, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia adopted a joint final declaration. According to the declaration, the participating countries intend to ensure interaction among regional states, EU institutions, and other interested partners, including through annual summits and other events. They also plan to direct joint efforts toward strengthening cross-border cooperation, economic ties, security, and sustainable development of the Carpathian region. The participating nations pledged to enhance energy resilience through the development of electrical, thermal, and gas infrastructure, and to promote the restoration and modernization of critical infrastructure across the region.
