1 min read

Ukrainian capital Kyiv came under a drone attack on Saturday evening, September 26, with impacts recorded in three city districts, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a drone struck an office building with no fire reported. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris fell on the grounds of a preschool institution — no fire or destruction was reported there. In the Solomianskyi district, a drone fell in an open area, and the blast wave damaged a five-story residential building, shattering windows and damaging the façade.

A drone also struck a non-residential building in Shevchenkivskyi district. In total, Mayor Klitschko stated that seven people were injured across Kyiv on September 26 as a result of enemy strikes, with all receiving outpatient medical care.

Ongoing Russian Air Campaign Against Kyiv

The attack is part of Russia's ongoing campaign targeting Kyiv's civilian and digital infrastructure. Earlier in the week, Russian drones and missiles struck multiple data centers and power infrastructure in the capital.
