Drone Hits Fire Truck as Rescuers Fight Kramatorsk Blaze
Rescuers in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, came under a repeat Russian attack while putting out fires caused by earlier strikes, the State Emergency Service (DSNS) said on Tuesday, October 27.
"In Kramatorsk, a nine-storey building and private houses where domestic animals were kept were on fire after Russian strikes. While extinguishing a fire in the private sector, an enemy drone hit a fire tanker truck. The rescuers were not hurt," the service said.
Fires in Sloviansk too
In nearby Sloviansk, shelling set residential buildings, storage and outbuildings and a truck on fire. Rescuers contained all fires, but because of the difficult security situation firefighting at every location had to be suspended.
The front-line cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk have been shelled almost daily. In recent days we reported that Russian guided bombs hit Kramatorsk, killing one person and wounding three children, and that shelling of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk wounded seven civilians.
