Moldova's Ministry of Defense said on Monday, 26 October, that an aircraft resembling a motorized paraglider had violated the country's airspace after flying in from Ukraine. The ministry reported it on Facebook, European Pravda wrote.

According to the statement, the Air Operations Center of Moldova's National Army registered the flight. The object entered Moldova at 13:13 from the direction of Chernivtsi and was detected at 13:32 near the village of Larga in the Briceni district. Moldova's border police are now investigating the illegal crossing of the state border.

Earlier incident with a drone

On 23 October, Moldova's Foreign Ministry condemned a violation of its airspace by a drone and put the responsibility on Russia. A drone was found in the village of Kishtelnytsia, where it fell 100 metres from a residential building. The ministry said it would declare an employee of the Russian embassy in Chisinau persona non grata. Russia's Foreign Ministry said these actions would not go unanswered. More in world news.
