Poll: 50% of Ukrainians say peace is more important than victory

Half of Ukrainians say peace is more important than any victory, while 41% hold the opposite view, according to a Rating sociological group poll conducted October 3-5, 2026. The survey notes that against the backdrop of intensified shelling over recent months, the share of respondents who say victory is more important has grown. The poll was conducted via CATI among 1,000 Ukrainians aged 18+ from all regions except occupied territories. Margin of error up to 3.1 pp at 95% confidence.
