Drone Debris Discovered on Romanian Beach Near Capul Midiei

On the morning of September 10, drone debris was discovered on a beach in the Corbu area near Capul Midiei in Romania's Black Sea coastal region.

Tourists noticed the suspicious object and reported it to authorities. Police arrived on scene, followed by a group of Romanian Interior Ministry sappers.

Specialists confirmed that the fragments contained no explosive charge and neutralized the debris on site.

This is not the first such incident in Romania. On August 27, Romania's radar surveillance system detected an aerial target 33 km north of Ukraine's Snake Island. On August 30, an alert was issued for northeastern Tulcea county after radar detected a target near the Ukrainian border. Romania has suffered the highest number of drone incursions on NATO's eastern flank, according to the acting Romanian foreign minister.
