Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia kills mother and grandmother of 3-year-old Artem

On the morning of September 26, Russian forces launched multiple strikes against Zaporizhzhia, destroying a private home and setting it on fire, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported.

Two women killed under debris

Emergency workers cleared the rubble and recovered two bodies. Both women — named Liudmyla and Vasylyna — could not be saved. According to regional authorities, three-year-old Artem lost both his mother and grandmother in the attack.

Market also struck

One of Zaporizhzhia's markets was hit during the same wave of attacks. The full scale of casualties and damage was still being determined.
