Belarus Activates Drone Retransmitters to Aid Russian Strikes on Ukraine

Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service has recorded the activation of drone retransmitters on Belarusian territory that amplify signals for Russian drones attacking Ukraine’s western regions. Colonel Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the Border Guard Service, said the activity has been ongoing since the end of last week.

Direct quote: “Since the end of last week, we have been recording the activation of retransmitters that amplify signals for Russian drones that the enemy directs at our western regions — these retransmitters are located on Belarusian territory,” Demchenko stated.

He noted high activity of the retransmitters during the specified period, which allows Russia to strike western Ukrainian regions. On September 14, the Border Guard Service had already reported that recent Russian drone attacks on Rivne, Volyn, and Lviv regions were facilitated from Belarusian territory.
