Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budris has confirmed that Lithuania possesses the same intelligence as its allies regarding possible Russian hybrid attacks against countries supporting Ukraine. This comes after Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned about Russian plans for hybrid strikes involving drones and missiles against Ukraine’s supporters.
Direct quote: “I want to assure everyone that Lithuania has the same intelligence as other countries in the region and countries that have deployed forces here. There is no other information,” said Budris.
According to the minister, he discussed the matter with the NATO Secretary General, his deputy, and European military commanders to verify they were referring to the same threat. “The news is this — yes, we are talking about the same thing. Lithuania has the same information; we spoke about this as a possible false-flag operation by Russia,” he emphasized.
