Russia Strikes Kyiv Office Building Twice in One Day with Drones

Russian forces struck an office building in Kyiv's Podilskyi district twice on Friday, 11 September, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported. The second drone hit targeted a five-story office building that had already been struck earlier the same day, with the second impact also causing a fire to break out in a nearby warehouse.

Morning Attacks Killed Two

The second strike in the afternoon came after a more intense morning wave of attacks on the Ukrainian capital. Russian forces launched reactive drones at Kyiv earlier that day, hitting gas stations in two different districts of the city. Klitschko confirmed that two people were killed and eight others wounded in the morning round of attacks.

The previous day, on 10 September, a Russian drone had struck a gas station in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district, injuring four people. The pattern of attacks targeting urban infrastructure such as fuel depots and commercial buildings has intensified in recent weeks.

Escalating Strikes on Capital

Repeated strikes on Kyiv's Podilskyi district — one of the city's central residential and commercial areas — have become a feature of Russia's intensified aerial campaign against the Ukrainian capital. Emergency services responded to multiple incidents across the city throughout the day.
