President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed he has arranged for Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to make another visit to Ukraine after their historic first trip to Kyiv on September 6.
Zelensky said: 'We agreed with Steve and Jared that they will come again. It is important not to make long pauses. They have been to Moscow many times and this was their first time in Kyiv.'
Zelensky added that he would like the envoys to come more frequently to show 'balance and respect for both Moscow and Kyiv'. He also offered Ukraine's presidential plane for transportation on the next visit: 'If they do not want to fly on an American plane, they can leave the plane in Poland or another country bordering Ukraine, and my presidential plane can deliver them.'
Zelensky noted that the visit of Trump's special representatives to Kyiv demonstrates the strengthening of Ukraine's negotiating position. He also mentioned ongoing work on the FREYJA anti-ballistic program and said he hopes to meet Trump in the last decade of September to discuss ballistic weapons packages from the US.
